Tariq Mahmood Ahmad, Baron Ahmad of Wimbledon is a British-Pakistani businessman and a Conservative life peer. He joined the Conservative Party in 1994. In 2002, he was elected a Councillor in Wimbledon. From 2008 to 2010, he served as Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party. On 13 January 2011, he was made a life peer, and was created Baron Ahmad of Wimbledon, of Wimbledon in the London Borough of Merton. He formally joined the House of Lords on 17 January. In 2014, he was promoted to Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at DCLG. After the 2015 general election, he was appointed jointly as Minister for Skills and Aviation Security at the Department for Transport and Minister for Countering Extremism at the Home Office. In 2016, he was appointed Minister for Aviation, International Trade and Europe at the Department for Transport. After the 2017 general election, he was appointed Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office with responsibilities to the Commonwealth, the United Nations, and the Prime Minister's Special Representative on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict and later South Asia, and then South and Central Asia. He also gained ministerial responsibilities for North Africa in February 2022.

As Chairperson of the JSW Foundation, Mrs. Sangita Jindal strategizes and oversees social development projects within the JSW Group.
The programs at the JSW Foundation span across a wide range of interventions and focus on the holistic development of the girl child. From providing Skill Development opportunities, to empowering woman across India, through health, education and livelihood oriented programs. JSW Foundation also works with the Government of India to devise strategies & programs to eliminate malnutrition in India.
A philanthropist who believes in the transformatory powers of art, Sangita set up The Jindal Arts Centre (1992) at National Center for Performing Art, Mumbai, India which became a hub of interdisciplinary arts activity. She also publishes Art India Magazine which has been a chronicler of record of the Indian Art scene for over two decades.
Her efforts to preserve heritage for future generations led to extensive restoration work at the Hampi temple complex in the southern Indian state of Karnataka & The Keneseth Eliyahoo Synagogue in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Hampi Foundation was conferred the UNESCO-Asia Pacific Award for Merit for Cultural Heritage Conservation for the work at the Chandramauleshwar Temple.
Sangita is an Eisenhower Fellow and is on the Board of Trustees of the World Monuments Fund & an Advisor on the Khoj Board. She has been inducted as a key member of Tate International Council as well as UN Women Business Sector Advisory Council (BSAC).

Lord Paul was born in Punjab in 1931. A scholar of repute, he was educated at Doaba College, Jalandhar and F C College, Lahore. Later, he obtained his MechE degree in mechanical engineering from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), United States. In 1966, he relocated to the United Kingdom and founded Natural Gas Tubes in Huntingdon, UK.
Starting with one steel unit at Natural Gas Tubes, Lord Paul went on to build and acquire several more units. This led to his founding the Caparo Group in 1978, a leading UK-based manufacturer of steel and high value engineering products. The Group today is into property and leisure business, and currently employs over 7,000 people in America, UK, India, and the Middle East.
He was made a member of the House of Lords in 1996 with the title Baron Paul of Marylebone. He has the distinction of being the first person of Indian origin to hold the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords.
He was sworn in as a Member of the Privy Council in 2009. A great educationist, he served as Chancellor of University of West London, The University of Westminster and Chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton, where he is the longest serving University Chancellor in UK. He is also a member of the President’s Cabinet for Chapman University in Orange, California.
Lord Paul takes an active interest in international relations. The UK government appointed him as an Ambassador for British business, and a member of the Foreign Policy Centre Advisory Council & the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. He was a member of Panel 2000, an appointment by the British Prime Minister to re-brand U.K.
He founded the Indo-British Association in 1975 to promote better understanding between the people of both countries. He was a Trustee of the Festival of India in the U.K. in 1982. The Government has built another 54 million toilets based on his design. It has been recognized by the UNDP as a Global Best Practice that could be an effective instrument for achieving Millennium Development Goals for providing sanitation to more than 2 billion people across the world. The BBC serial, ‘Horizon’ has called it one of the five unique inventions in the world that has a direct bearing on humanity.
